Vegan Smoothie Bowl

Vegan smoothie bowl.
A dairy free and gluten free smoothie bowl for breakfast. And also sugar free. So diabetic and weight watchers both can enjoy it.
Easy to make, filling, healthy and delicious. A perfect breakfast option. With all the goodness and taste of banana, oats, almond, raisins, dates and coconut and the crunch of walnut and pomegranate.

I have used banana but you can use strawberry or any fruit of your choice. You don’t need any sweetener because raisins, banana and dates give enough sweetness to your smoothie bowl.

This smoothie is perfectly sweet and delicious but if you like less sweetness in your smoothie then you can reduce the amount raisins and dates. You can dry roast the oats if you want. I didn’t.

Recipe

Oats – 1/4 cup

Banana – 1

Coconut milk – 1/4 cup or as require

Fresh coconut – 2 tablespoon, chopped

Almond – 5

Date – 2, pitted and chopped

Raisins – 2 tablespoon

Walnut, raisins, pomegranate and banana pieces for topping

Method

1. Peel and chop the ripe banana.

2. Soak the almonds in hot water and peel when cool.

3. Soak the raisins in water.

4. Grind the oats. You can dry roast the oats before grinding if you like.

5. In a blender blend ground oats, chopped coconut, chopped dates, peeled almonds, soaked raisins, chopped banana and 1/4 cup coconut milk. Blend into a smooth mixture.

6. Pour the mixture into a bowl. You can add 1/4 cup more coconut milk if you want your smoothie consistency thin.

7. Top with banana slices, raisins, walnut and pomegranate arils.
Enjoy the delicious and healthy smoothie bowl. Stay healthy stay happy

Notes

Dairy Free Beetroot Smoothie With Apple Orange And Carrot

Dairy free beetroot smoothie with apple, orange and carrot.
A perfect low calorie drink with breakfast. Delicious, healthy and filling. I have used carrot, apple and orange juice in it. You can use any fruit of your choice.

You don’t need to add any sweetener in this smoothie. But you can add black salt and black pepper powder if you want. I love this smoothie both ways.

Beetroots have numerous health benefits.
Beetroot is rich in vitamins, minerals and nutrients and it without doubt is a ‘super-food’. It helps to treat anemia, indigestion, constipation, piles, kidney disorders, dandruff, gall bladder disorders, cancer and heart disease. It also helps to improve blood circulation, helps to deal with respiratory problems and even prevents cataracts.

Now coming to the recipe. Just blend everything and and your healthy and yummy smoothie is ready in a minute.

I have used orange juice but you can use grape or any other fruit juice. Add fruit juice according to your taste. Almond milk can be used instead of coconut milk.

Recipe

Beetroot – 1 boiled

Carrot – 1

Apple – 1, peeled and cored

Orange juice – 1 cup

Coconut milk – 1/2 cup

Lemon juice – 1/2 teaspoon

Cinnamon powder – 1/4 teaspoon

Finely chopped walnut to garnish

Method

1. Peel and chop the boiled beetroot.

2. Grate or finely chop the apple for easy blending.

3. Mix all the ingredients and blend until smooth and frothy. See notes for more options.

4. Pour the mixture into your favourite glass and enjoy the delicious and healthy smoothie.

Notes

1. You don’t need to add any sweetener. Smoothie is enough sweet due to the sweetness of beetroot, apple, orange and coconut milk.

2. You can add black salt and black pepper powder if you like to enhance the taste.

3. You can also add ice cubes if require.

4. Almond milk can be used instead of coconut milk.

5. You can use grape juice or any fruit juice of your choice instead of orange juice.

Dairy free mango pineapple smoothie.
A delicious refreshing chilled and filling smoothie for your breakfast.
Its dairy free. Used coconut milk in it. Mixed taste of mango pineapple, coconut milk and a dash of cinnamon made this smoothie super yummy. A perfect drink for fasting days.
And its just three ingredients smoothie. If you don’t like cinnamon then you can omit it. Or you can increase the amount of cinnamon powder if you love the flavour.
Its peak mango season. You can get so many varieties juicy Mangoes or king of the fruit in this season. Yes its called king of the fruit because of its lip smacking taste.

Not only delicious Mangoes are packed with vitamins like A, C, and K. While, good levels of vitamin K are beneficial for our bone health and vitamin A promotes good eye health. … Mango is one of the highest food sources of vitamin C. This vitamin is essential for your immune system.

So this smoothie is not only delicious, refreshing and filling but its healthy too. You don’t need ice if you are using frozen fruits. But if you have fresh fruits add some ice cubes to make it chilled.

Recipe

Mango – 1 cup, chopped

Pineapple – 1 cup, chopped

Coconut milk – 1 cup

Cinnamon powder – 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon, optional

Honey or sugar to taste

Sliced almond to garnish

1. Blend mango and pineapple pieces in a mixer grinder.

2. Add coconut milk and blend again.

3. Taste and add honey or sugar to taste. My fruits are too sweet so I didn’t add any sweetener.

4. Add cinnamon powder if using. Blend again.

5. Place some ice cubes in your favorite glass. Pour the mixture over it.

6. Garnish with sliced almond and serve chilled.

Notes

1. You can use any fruit of your choice instead of mango and pineapple.

2. If you don’t like cinnamon then you can omit it and use cardamom or any flavour of your choice.

Watermelon Cantaloupe Mint Smoothie

Watermelon cantaloupe mint smoothie.
Watermelon is easily available in this season. This refreshing fruit has mostly water and full of nutrients.
I love chilled watermelon juice in summer. And tried this juice with many other ingredients to make different delicious dishes.

Today sharing a smoothie with it. Pairing it with another summer fruit cantaloupe or muskmelon or Kharbuj. Lightly flavoured with mint.
If you don’t like mint you can use cinnamon or any other flavour of your choice.

I didn’t use any sweetener in it. Watermelon and cantaloupe made the smoothie perfectly sweet.

I was thinking about a yoghurt based curry to share today. But this time I want to share my breakfast with you. Yes in summer smoothie is a best breakfast option. Chilled, refreshing, filling and yummy.

If you are a regular reader of my blog then you know that I have shared different smoothie recipes in every summer.
Today I have used cantaloupe in it. But you can use one banana instead if you want.
Keep it in refrigerator or add some crushed ice cubes and enjoy the chilled glass of healthy fruity smoothie.

Recipe

Thick yoghurt – 1/2 cup

Watermelon juice – 1 cup

Kharbuj /cantaloupe /muskmelon – 1/2 cup, chopped

Or

Banana – 1, chopped

Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon

Mint leaves – 1 tablespoon, torned with hand

Black salt – a pinch

Method

1. In a blender blend cantaloupe, torn mint leaves and thick yoghurt.

2. Now add watermelon juice, black salt and lemon juice.
Blend again.

3. Taste and add little more lemon juice and black salt if require.

I didn’t use any sweetener in it because my watermelon and cantaloupe both are sweet. But if you want you can add a teaspoon of honey or sugar if require

4. Pour the mixture in your favourite glass. Garnish with watermelon and mint leaves.

5. Keep in refrigerator or add crushed ice cubes.
Serve chilled.

Enjoy the delicious refreshing chilled smoothie.

Notes

1. You can use cinnamon powder instead of mint leaves or any other flavour of your choice.

2. If you don’t like cantaloupe use one banana instead.

Banana Almond Mint Smoothie 


Banana almond mint smoothie.

One more healthy, yummy, chilled and refreshing drink to beat the heat.  And yes very easy to make.

Smoothie is an easiest way to nourish your body with essential nutrients. It gives you essential minerals and vitamins too. You need only some fruits, milk or yogurt and a blender to make this healthy and yummy drink.

Bananas are available in every season and packed with vitamins and minerals.

And almonds are excellent source of vitamins and heart healthy monounsaturated fat.

Yogurt has been consumed by humans for hundreds of years.

It’s very nutritious, and eating it regularly may boost several aspects of your health.

For example, yogurt has been found to reduce the risk of heart disease and osteoporosis, as well as aid in weight management.

You can take all three in a delicious way. Just blend everything and its ready. You can add ice cubes and enjoy as a chilled drink. I have used everything frozen so didn’t used ice cubes. You can add cinnamon or cardamom powder if you don’t like mint.

Recipe 


Yogurt – 1 cup

Banana – 2 peeled and chopped

Almond – 5 – 6 soaked and peeled

Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon

Mint – few leaves

Honey or sugar – 2 teaspoon or to taste

Ice cube – as require

Shredded almonds, lemon wedge and mint string for garnishing

 

 

Method 


Combine every ingredients. Blend until smooth and frothy.

You can add cinnamon or cardamom powder if you don’t like mint. You can add raisins or any soaked dry fruits of your choice.

Taste and add more honey, sugar or lemon juice if require.

Pour the mixture into your favourite glass. Add some ice cubes if require.

I have used everything frozen so didn’t used ice cubes.

Garnish with shredded almonds, lemon wedge and mint string.

Serve chilled.

Cucumber Apple Smoothie 


Navaratri festival is just around the corner. And many of you  observe fast these days. Smoothie is perfect for fasting days. Filing and yummy.
Dairy free low calorie cucumber apple smoothie. Perfect for health conscious people too. 

Do you want a glowing skin? Then add this smoothie with your daily breakfast. 

It is an easy way to get rid of oiliness in skin and leaves you with a glow. 

The older you get, the fewer antioxidants you have in your skin to combat wrinkles and sun damage. Cucumbers can help restore some of these.  Cucumbers are a source of several compounds that fight inflammation and aging. It  can resolves many skin problems and ensures healthy and younger looking skin.

And low calorie vitamins enriched cucumber keeps us hydrated and cool. It helps  in digestion, stabilize blood pressure and good for diabetic. 

Its lowers the uric acid levels and keep the kidneys healthy. They also contain the important nail health-promoting mineral. And also have anti-cancer properties.

This smoothie has apple too. Apple is extremely rich in antioxidants and dietary fiber. The phytonutrients and antioxidants in apples may help reduce the risk of developing cancer, hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease. 

The recipe is very simple. Just blend both add some flavour of your choice. I have used cinnamon but If you don’t like it you can use mint or any other flavour. Make it sweet or salty, both are yummy. You can add small spinach leaves or tomato too.

 

Recipe 


Cucumber – 1

Apple – 1

Cinnamon powder – 1/4 teaspoon 

Lemon – 1/2

Grated ginger – 1/2 teaspoon 

Honey or salt to taste 

Ice cube as require, optional 

Method 


Peel and chop the apple and cucumber. Taste the cucumber, it shouldn’t be bitter. 

Combine everything. You can add few small spinach leaves or 1 chopped tomato too. If you are using salt add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon black pepper powder too. You can use rock salt if you want to take it in fasting days.

 Blend everything until smooth and frothy. Add lemon juice and mix well. Taste and add more lemon juice if require. If you don’t like cinnamon you can use mint leaves or any flavour of your choice. 

Pour the mixture in your favourite glass. Add ice cubes. 

Garnish with cucumber, apple and lemon wedges. Serve chilled .

Litchi Watermelon Dates Peach Tulsi And Almond Smoothie

I always like to take a glass of smoothie in my fasting days. On these days salt and grains are not allowed.

Refreshing, filling and delicious smoothie is a best way to hydrate us in this scorching summer. And its a without sugar and dairy free smoothie so perfect for everyone even diabetic people too.

I have added little cucumber too which provides antioxidants and anti-inflammatory benefits.

A smoothie with litchi. This juicy summer treat is not only yummy. It is highly rich in nutrients and offers numerous benefits for your skin, hair, and health that make it more irresistible.

Peaches also offer a rich treasure of minerals such as calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron, manganese, phosphorous, zinc, and copper.

Peaches are low in calories, contain no saturated fat or cholesterol, and are a good source of dietary fiber.

Refreshing Watermelon soaked with nutrients. Contents vitamin A. B6, C, antioxidant and amino acids.
Its detoxifying, support immune system, lower cholesterol and blood sugar.

And we all know that Tulsi or Holy Basil, which has the scientific name Ocimum Sanctum is undoubtedly one of the best medicinal herb that has been discovered.

So make this super healthy and yummy smoothie to beat the heat.

Recipe

Watermelon juice  – 1 cup

Litchi – 5

Peach  – 2

Dates  – 5

Tutsi or holy basil – 5-6 leaves

Almonds  – 5 soaked and peeled

Cucumber  – 1/2 peeled and grated

Cinnamon powder  – a small pinch

Juice of 1 lemon

Ice cubes as require

Method

Peel the litchis. Remove the seeds of litchis, dates and peach and chop them.

Now combine everything in a blender. Blend till smooth and frothy.

Place some ice cube in a glass and pour the smoothie over it.
Enjoy chilled, healthy and delicious smoothie with the goodness of fruits.
